First launched in the fall of 2016, the Norwich Science Festival was originally created to celebrate and showcase the wonders of scientific innovation of the past and present. The festival aims to cultivate and promote an interest in science and technology that is inclusive of all levels of knowledge. Since its inception, it has moved beyond its namesake neighborhood to venues large and small, across the city of Norwich.
The goal of this project was to give the brand identity a refresh, one that captures the feeling of excitement in science and retains the festival’s creative and passionate spirit in promoting scientific curiosity among youth. The project included developing their brand strategy—positioning, personality and values, in order to create an strong brand image. The brand system created includes a festival poster, e-tickets, program book, and website which uses English and Polish on all media.

For the logo of the Norwich Science Festival I chose a san serif font that was bold and clean, and which can be read in both languages of Polish and English. I also incorporated a visual image of an atom in place of the letter "O" as a homage to the science festival's focus on science and allowing it to retain its playful nature.
